Studio Location
The Atelier on Charonne
A 19th-century Haussmann space in Paris's 11th arrondissement, preserved with original moldings and minimal modern intervention. Our project table is where sketches meet screens.
A ten-minute walk from Bastille, passing the Marché d’Aligre for a morning coffee before the session. The neighborhood is a quiet hub for textile artisans and print studios—ideal for tactile prototyping.

The Parisian Context & Logistics
For clients traveling to the studio, a local guide. The 11th arrondissement is a hub for creative industry, offering easy access to materials and collaborators.
Transit
Nearest Métro: Bastille (Lines 1, 5, 8) or Ledru-Rollin (Line 8). A 5-minute walk from either station.
Accommodation
For visitors, we recommend hotels in the Marais or Oberkampf. Both neighborhoods are a 10-minute taxi or 20-minute walk.

Street parking is extremely limited. We recommend the Indigo garage on Rue de Charenton, a 3-minute walk from the studio.
Provisions
The Marché d'Aligre market is one block away for fresh produce and espresso. Several bakeries and cafés line Rue de Charonne.
"Charonne (n.): A quiet street known for its village feel within the city. A transitional space between the formal boulevards and the artisan workshops of the Faubourg Saint-Antoine."

Project Intake Protocol
A clear process ensures we're the right studio for your needs. We prioritize fit and clarity over speed, ensuring every project has the foundation for success.
The Brief
Submit via our intake form. We require a clear problem statement and business objectives, not just a request for a visual style.
We review for strategic alignment before scheduling a consultation.
The Fit
We evaluate technical feasibility, timeline alignment, and scope. We may decline projects where a tight timeline compromises quality or accessibility standards.
Realistic Timeline
Our average engagement from start to launch is 10 weeks. This allows for iteration, testing, and refinement.
The Proposal
If the fit is right, we issue a fixed-scope proposal. We do not offer hourly billing for design; all work is scoped and quoted upfront.
This protects your budget and our commitment to deep work without hourly pressure.
Trade-off Frame
Speed vs. Depth
- • We prioritize depth over speed. If your launch is in 2 weeks, we are likely not the right studio.
- • Our fixed-scope model eliminates budget creep but requires upfront clarity on requirements.
- • Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) is non-negotiable and built into every phase.
- • We decline projects where the timeline would force us to skip user testing.
Method Note
How We Evaluate Robustness
Our protocol is evaluated on three constraints: scope clarity, timeline realism, and technical debt avoidance.
What would change our view?
- A change in project direction that invalidates initial design research.
- External factors (e.g., supply chain) that extend delivery beyond our quoted scope.
- Legal or compliance requirements that necessitate a fundamental technical pivot.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
The Vague Brief
"Make it pop" is not a brief. We need a specific problem, target audience, and measurable goal.
The Unstated Budget
Without a budget range, proposals can't be tailored. We respect fixed budgets and scope accordingly.
The "As Soon As Possible" Timeline
Realistic time for a quality website is 8-12 weeks. Rushed work sacrifices accessibility and performance.
